Agile Processes

Highlights

The objective of this process is to create a foundation that outlines new architectural approaches to normalize knowledge and provide reusable knowledge components, or artifacts, in a knowledge repository that can be repeatedly accessed.

About the Project

Collaborative work groups are becoming increasingly ubiquitous and many are no longer co-located and instead reach around the world. This creates new challenges as teams may have differences in terminology or ways of expressing key concepts, differences in core knowledge bases from different training or reference sets, and differences in understanding of the relevant problems or research areas encountered. These difficulties present an opportunity for creating new technolgies and methodologies that effectively address these issues.

The Agile Processes project focuses on the creation of methods to normalize knowledge accross boundaries and create components of knowledge that can be reused in a variety of situations among geographically dispersed teams or from project to project. It looks to the creation of a heterogeneous distributed object standard and other tools to address the growing problems encountered in rapidly and agilely changing.
